20 Places We All Must Visit Before We Die

20 Places

After quite a number of years of travel I suppose I’d like to think of myself as a seasoned traveler, however, as irritating as it may be, I’ve found that the more of the world I see, the more I wish to discover. This evidently puts me in quite the predicament: when is enough enough? When will the idea of travel become tiresome and boring? How many more countries do I have to set foot in before I hang up my backpacking boots and call it a day? I’m unsure as to whether I’ll ever have the answer to these questions. What I am absolutely sure of is that there are some places I simply must visit before I die…and, if you haven’t already, you should too.

These are the 20 places we ALL must visit before we die…

#1 Santorini Island, Greece

#2 Swimming Pigs, Bahamas

#3 Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, USA

#4 Bora Bora, French Polynesia

#6 Sea Cliffs, Etretat, France

  1. Kaylee

I’m in Hampi in India at the moment, it might not make your top 20 but it is a beautiful and powerful place that you should check out! I’ve been enjoying your blog man! Glad to see you taking over this world 🙂

    • Jarrod

Yes, 20 places is pretty limiting so any more suggestions are definitely welcomed. I’ll be checking out India Next year I think. Let me know how it all goes there. I’m taking over. Little by little.

  2. Spent 3 months in Turkey but was not able to go to Pamukkale. Next time I Will definitely go. Thanks for sharing this list

  3. Very nicely written. good read

  4. Oh yes, definitely! Lots of these are on our bucket list for sure. Great post! Thank you 🙂

  5. I have to agree with you, the more I travel – I also feel the need to discover more places! I definitely would love to visit the Santorini Island in Greece, Taj Mahal in India, Great Wall of China, and The Maldives someday. As for the other places, I will add those in my bucket list. 🙂

  6. Oh my, so many beautiful places to see and explore! Have visited only 2 of these so far!

  7. Sanjeev Goyal

great posts, hope to visit all these places one day

  8. I think that the more places you see the more places you end up adding to the list! I don’t think I will ever want to hang up my travelling boots 😉

I like this list, there’s quite a few I’ve yet to visit so thanks for the inspiration.

  9. Ill visit soon Vietnam. Cambodia and Australia next yr. I cant wait to see these beautiful places.

  10. I have visited the Taj Mahal and Cinque Terre from your list. They were both stunning but over crowded. At the Taj Mahal there were at least 100.000 people and it made the experience not as great.

    • Jarrod

100,000 people? Wow! that would be ridiculously long wait to get a photo then I’m presuming :/

  11. This is awesome & can be part of a traveler bucket list, nicely articulated. Sharing this on fb page so other can read this as well.

  12. A bit ashamed to admit that I haven’t been to any of these but some of them are on the top of my list like the Plitvice lakes where I was so close to this summer but I guess next year. Cinque Terre , Santorini and Pamukkale are also a personal favourite on my bucket list.

  13. Very good list, I feel bad that I’ve only visited two of them! 🙂
Pretty much of them are on my bucket list though, so hopefully I’ll be able to tick them off soon. I’m actually organizing a trip to Petra for next year, it looks like such an amazing place!

    • Jarrod

Yeah, well I haven’t even visited one of them so I have got my work cut out for me!

  14. Great compilation of photos…are they yours? I specially found the picture of Vietnam breathtaking, since it is unusual. Is that the massive cave? I think I’ve seen a picture somewhere else, too. Big question…how many have you been to yet?

    • Jarrod

Unfortunately not my photos. Well I made sure I made a list that I specifically hadn’t been to yet. It’s a list of places I haven’t been, but want to go to.

  15. Lovely list, such an enticing collation of places. Hope I get to see all of them in a lifetime. My favourites there are Angkor Wat and Bora Bora.

  16. All of these places are simply amazing. Beautiful nature, wild in some of them and breathtaking views..i have written a post of the places we should visit before we day, so you may want to check them and make your list bigger =_=

  17. a few of them places are on my list as well, great read

Great list! Just a quick note – the picture you used for Yellowstone National Park is actually a picture of Yosemite National Park in California. 😊
